The Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) has introduced a new tool to help management researchers, especially those with less experience, to plan, conduct, and report their empirical studies effectively.

The AMJ Management Research Canvas, presented by Prof. Marc Gruber with co-authors Sinziana Dorobantu, Davide Ravasi and Ned Wellman in the latest "From the Editors" article, outlines nine core elements essential for successful research projects, ranging from identifying an intriguing research puzzle to specifying the study's limitations.

The canvas is designed to guide scholars through the research process, ensuring that each component is well-considered and cohesive. It includes key questions to help authors reflect on each element, enhancing the quality and rigor of their work. This initiative aims to improve the submission quality and increase the chances of publication in AMJ and other top-tier management journals.
