Climate change impacts on organic carbon cycling in European alpine soils
Our review article on Climate change impacts on organic carbon cycling in European alpine soils is now published open access in Soil Biology and Biochemistry.
The first article from Kristina's and Bence's PhD projects is now published. In this review article, we discuss the impact of climate change on soil organic carbon cycling in alpine soils. We assess how projected increases in air temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and reduced snow cover may affect soil organic carbon input and loss processes. We further highlight persisting knowledge gaps and propose approaches to address them. This article was written in collaboration with Marco Keiluweit (Unil) and Christian Rixen (SLF).
