Dr. Jan Skaloud developed a new PhD course related to mobile mapping, more than 20 students enrolled.
From August 22, 2011 to September 9, 2011 Dr. Jan Skaloud was an invited lecturer at The University of Calgary, Canada where he delivered a novel course within a large-graduate program at the Department of Geomatics Engineering. The course content focused on the modeling, calibration and estimation procedures in the concurrent employment of navigation (e.g. satellite & inertial) and optical sensors (active and passive) for the precise determination of the observed scenes (e.g. surface models, 3D object reconstruction, ortho-photo production, etc.). Over 20 students enrolled in this course, including several participants from the industry.
