Are you interested in studying the molecular basis of memory extinction? How to overcome traumatic memories?
In this project, we build upon our previous findings (Khalaf et al., 2018, Science), where we identified the cell populations responsible for memory extinction. Now, we aim to decipher the genes responsible for this process precisely within these cells.
To do so, your M.Sc. project will consist of mouse behavioral analysis, epigenetic and transcriptomic techniques as well as CRISPR-based editing tools.
