New members arriving HOMES!

In January 2024, we welcome two members joining HOMES: Xuhang Liu, a new PhD in EDCE program, and Yuqian Lin, a visiting PhD from Hong Kong Polytechnique University.
Xuhang received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Beihang University, with wide academic pursuits spanning finite element simulation, pavement engineering, and deep learning. Before joining EPFL, he worked as a software engineer specializing in Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms and collaborative design. His current research interest lies in the application of machine learning in transportation.
Yuqian received her Bachelor’s degree from Central South University and her Master’s degree from Southeast University, both in Transportation Engineering. She is currently a PhD student at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, supervised by Prof. Yang Xu. Her research focuses on human travel behaviors and shared mobility. Yuqian will visit HOMES for a period of six months.
