The Chief Financial Officer of Nestlé S.A, Mr. François-Xavier Roger, was a guest of the Swiss Finance Institute at the College of Management of Technology at EPFL on December 20, 2016. He was a guest speaker in the “Introduction to Finance” class of the Master of Financial Engineering Program.
This class provides a framework for analyzing the major types of financial decisions made by corporations. Professor Rüdiger Fahlenbrach, who teaches the class, says “We are absolutely delighted that Mr. Roger made time in his busy schedule to come and talk to our Master students. It was a unique opportunity for students to learn about the finance function in a large and successful multinational corporation.” After a brief presentation about his role at Nestle and his career path, Mr. Roger answered student questions on the finance function at Nestle, his interaction with investors, and the future challenges of Nestle in a Q&A session.
Mr. Roger was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Nestlé in July 2015, after holding similar positions in Millicom and Takeda Pharmaceutical. He is a graduate of Audencia Business School and holds an MBA from Ohio State University.
