Nanoscribe Photonic Professional GT installed in CMI
The world’s highest resolution commercially available micro 3D printer Nanoscribe Photonic Professional GT has recently been installed at EPFL’s CMi.
It has been acquired by the Microsystems Laboratory, Laboratory of Applied Photonic Devices, and Optics Laboratory in the frame of their common SFA Advanced Manufacturing project Ceramic X.0. Applying the two photon polymerization (2PP) technique, LMIS1 members Jongmoon Jang and Lorenz Hagelüken will use the Nanoscribe to manufacture 3D microstructures with submicron resolution.
Being available to other CMi researchers, this sophisticated new tool will contribute to a variety of research topics in the field of microengineering.
