EPFL Alumna Kornelia Fabisik is now an Assistant Professor in Finance at the University of Berne, where she works on identifying better ways to measure the sustainability profiles of firms.
In honor of our 20th anniversary, the College of Management of Technology has initiated a tribute by connecting with our Alumni across our various educational programs to discover and learn about their professional journeys.
Today we are meeting Kornelia Fabisik. She heard of the EPFL doctoral program in Finance during an exchange year in Lausanne, where she fell in love with the region and decided to join the program which had an excellent reputation. During her PhD, she did research on corporate finance and corporate governance. After her graduation in 2020, she directly got an Assistant professorship position, and thanks to the intellectual freedom she had during her doctoral studies, was able to easily embrace a new research field - sustainable finance -, which she now also teaches.
