MT180: Third place for the Snowflakes of Josué Gehring

Congratulations to Josué who won the 3rd place for his presentation « Microphysics of mountainous and Antarctic snowfall » at My Thesis in 180 Seconds competition at EPFL on March 7!
Over the past four years, the competition – dubbed MT180 EPFL – has become a highlight of the school year. The concept is not unique to EPFL: other Swiss universities will hold similar events in the coming weeks, and a national final will be held at La Chaux-de-Fonds on 6 June, hosted by the University of Neuchatel. The first, second and third place winners from EPFL (Alvaro Charlet, Radmila Faizova et Josué Gehring) will have the chance to compete in the national event, in the hopes of qualifying for the international finals that will take place in Dakar, Senegal in September.
