More than thirty new distinguished PhDs

At the end of last year, 37 new EPFL PhDs from 18 different doctoral programs received a "Doctoral Program Thesis Distinction".
Created six years ago, the "Doctoral Program Thesis Distinction" aims to highlight research work of exceptional quality. For this seventh edition, 37 of the 438 doctoral candidates who defended their thesis over the academic year 2022-2023 have been awarded. These laureates received a certificate as well as an engraved card holder offered by EPFL.
As a reminder, doctoral programs are entitled to nominate 8% of their doctoral candidates who defended their thesis in the last twelve months. The commissions of each program then award the distinction.
