Milad just joined CHANGE as a Postdoctoral Researcher. His work focuses on advancing scientific machine learning approaches for environmental systems.

Milad holds a PhD in Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (Italy), where he conducted his research as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow within the EU Horizon 2020 REMEDI network. He also conducted research in hydrometeorology at the University of Arizona (USA) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (Iran).

His research interests include scientific machine learning, data-driven scientific computing, and the integration of physics-based principles with uncertainty-aware AI to improve predictive modelling, risk assessment, and sustainable decision-making in geo-hydro-chemical and climate systems. At CHANGE, he will work on the Schmidt Sciences-funded project UNLOCKING(Unlocking local knowlede for global water reanalysis).

Welcome to the Lab, Milad!
