Mikhail Shaposhnikov awarded the 2011 Sakharov Gold Medal

The Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences has awarded the 2011 Sakharov Gold Medal to prof. Mikhail Shaposhnikov for his works on "Electroweak processes at high temperature and baryon asymmetry of the universe".

The Sakharov Gold Medal is awarded every 5 years since 1996 by the Russian Academy of Sciences to scientists making outstanding contributions to nuclear physics, physics of elementary particles and cosmology.

The prize will be presented to prof. Shaposhnikov at the General Meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences on May 22nd, 2012
