MFE Student Awarded Prestigious Master Excellence Fellowship 2024

To support outstanding students starting their Master’s studies, EPFL offers a limited number of excellence fellowships aimed at enabling them to focus on their studies while engaging in activities that enrich their professional background and foster cross-disciplinary skills.

The Squarepoint Excellence Fellowship 2024 has been awarded to Ghina Saleh, a MFE student who expressed profound gratitude and excitement upon receiving the honor, describing it as a “life-changing opportunity.” This fellowship will enable her to pursue a Master’s degree at one of the world’s top universities.

Growing up in Lebanon during a time of economic hardship and conflict, the student faced significant obstacles in pursuing higher education. "Without the financial assistance of this fellowship, furthering my education would have been impossible," she shared. Upon learning of the award, Ghina felt rewarded for her dedication and is grateful to the selection committee for recognizing her potential to contribute positively to the academic community. Determined to maximize this opportunity, she is eager to make a meaningful impact and looks forward to giving back to others in the future.
