Meet our new Digital Humanities PhD student

Jessica Pidoux has just joined the Digital Humanities Institute to prepare her doctoral thesis. Her research title is « The Metrics of Online Dating. A sociological study of the matching algorithms. »

In 2015, Jessica Pidoux graduated from the University of Lausanne, with a master’s degree in Sociology of Communication and Culture. She then worked as a Web Project Manager in a start-up at the Innovation Park at the EPFL that is focused on developing digital platforms. She was responsible of coordinating the developer’s team. Conceiving, testing and releasing digital platforms were her primary tasks.
