Medallion Award and Lecture for Victor Panaretos

EPFL Professor Victor Panaretos has been honored with an IMS Medallion Award for his outstanding work on statistics and will deliver a Medallion Lecture at the 2025 Joint Statistical Meetings in Nashville, Tennessee.
Professor Victor Panaretos, who leads the Chair of Mathematical Statistics at EPFL's Institute of Mathematics, will receive an IMS Medallion and deliver a Medallion Lecture. Each year, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) selects eight Medallion Lecturers across all areas of statistics and probability. The Medallion nomination is an honor and an acknowledgment of a significant research contribution to one or more research areas. Each Medallion Awardee and Lecturer will receive a medallion in a ceremony preceding the lecture. Professor Panaretos will deliver his Medallion Lecture at the 2025 Joint Statistics Meetings (JSM) in Nashville, Tennessee.
