Maximize your research impact: connect once, update everywhere

EPFL offers its research community an integrated ecosystem linking Infoscience, ORCID, and people.epfl.ch. By linking your profiles and enabling synchronization, your publications are reliably verified, regularly updated, and visible across all platforms.
Step 1 — Connect your ORCID iD to your EPFL profile
ORCID provides a persistent, portable identifier that uniquely distinguishes you and ensures your affiliation with EPFL is verified and trusted. Use the ORCID–EPFL integration application (available on the EPFL network or via VPN) to link your ORCID iD with your EPFL profile.
This process does two things at the same time:
- It adds your EPFL affiliation to your ORCID profile, officially validated by EPFL.
- It displays your ORCID iD on your EPFL People page, officially validated by ORCID.
Your ORCID iD is also required for SNSF grant applications via the SNSF Portal and increasingly expected in Horizon Europe submissions.
Eligibility: This service is currently available only to EPFL members. Bachelor’s and Master’s students, as well as academic guests, are not yet eligible.

Step 2 — Connect your ORCID iD to Infoscience and enable synchronization
Linking your ORCID iD to your Infoscience profile ensures your scientific outputs are correctly attributed and that your publication record remains complete and up to date.
Benefits:
- You can export your publications directly from Infoscience to ORCID, keeping your ORCID profile automatically current.
- Infoscience continuously collects publications from major scholarly databases (Web of Science, Scopus, Crossref, OpenAlex).
- Your ORCID iD is used to reliably assign publications to you, eliminating the need for manual data entry.

Step 3 — Create publication lists and let them update automatically
Infoscience allows you to generate dynamic publication lists via infoscience-exports.epfl.ch, ready to be embedded on your People page or lab website in just a few clicks. These lists update automatically as new publications are added or validated, ensuring continuous and effortless visibility of your research.
