Maxence Grangeot and Jonas Warmuth, both PhD candidates at the Structural Xploration Lab, EPFL, presented research papers at the 2024 Symposium of the International Association for Shell and Space Structures (IASS), held from August 26th to 30th at the ETH Zürich, Switzerland.

Maxence Grangeot presented two papers. The first one, "Concrete rubble as a new construction material: panorama of applications to known structural typologies" is co-authored with his PhD advisors Prof. Stefana Parascho (CRCL lab) and Prof. Corentin Fivet (SXL). He co-authored the second paper with Daniell Marshall former master students at MIT. Their paper is titled "An Investigation into Machine Learning Matchmaking for Reused Rubble Concrete Masonry Units (RR-CMU)".

Jonas Warmuth presented a paper on "Computational Form-finding of Structures through Constraint Projections" that he co-authored with his PhD advisors Prof. Pierluigi d'Acunto (TU Munich) and Prof. Corentin Fivet (SXL).
