LTS5 will be massively present at the 2016 EPFL Open Days (Portes Ouvertes 2016) with demonstrations on advanced ultrasound imaging and on driver emotion detection by facial image analysis, as well as with its installation in the exhibition « « Noir c'est noir? Les Outrenoirs de Pierre Soulages » in the ArtLab building.
LTS5 will show no less than three demonstrations during the 2016 EPFL Open Days (Portes Ouvertes 2016 – November 5&6) :
- Advanced ultrasound image reconstruction: how advanced mathematical can be used to develop algorithms for reconstructing ultrasound images (echography) with unprecedented quality. Presented on Saturday Nov. 5 and Sunday Nov. 6.
- Driver emotion detection by facial image analysis: in collaboration with PSA Peugeot Citroën, we will demonstrate our real-time system for facial expression recognition, in the context of driver emotion recognition. Come and try it on Saturday Nov 5 and on Sunday Nov 6 !
- Finally, we will inaugurate our installation in the exhibition « « Noir c'est noir? Les Outrenoirs de Pierre Soulages » in the ArtLab building. In collaboration with the EPFL+ECAL Lab and the startup Gamaya, LTS5 shows that hyperspectral imaging can be used to analyse the pigments of a painting, and ultimately recognize each type of pigment.
