The Laboratory of Synthetic and Applied Microbiology (LSAM) has officially been established at EPFL in June 2025!
The Lonza Chair of Sustainable Biosynthesis is shared by the Schools of Basic and Life Sciences (SB & SV) and affiliated with both the Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering (ISIC) and the Institute of Bioengineering (IBI).
Markus Jeschek and the LSAM Family are thrilled to embark on an exciting mission to make critical contributions for the development of sustainable bioprocesses with synthetic microbes!
