Scientastic is a science festival that invites both adults and children to explore the world of science and technology at the heart of EPFL Valais Wallis.
As part of the "Comment ça marche?" exhibition, the Laboratory of Nanochemistry for Energy (LNCE) stand highlighted innovative research on recycling CO₂ using nanoparticles.
Marco, Seyedmohamadjavad (MJ), Riya, Jennifer, Petru, Hugh and Ludovic captivated visitors of all ages by hands-on demonstrations and accessible, engaging explanations. The team illustrated how nanotechnology can transform CO₂ into valuable products, offering a glimpse into a more sustainable, innovation-driven future.
Coline, Petru and Ludovic also teamed up with the Interdiciplinary Center for Electron Microscopy (CIME) to present a high-precision electron microscope —powerful enough to zoom in on matter with such detail that it would be like spotting a cherry on the Moon!
The event served as an inspiring platform to connect with the public, ignite curiosity, and highlight the crucial role of scientific research in tackling global challenges.
