LMIS1 recently participated to NanoBiotech 2025 conference in the beautiful neighbouring city of Montreux with two lab members, with Tao Zhang winning the "Best Question Award".
The 29th edition of NanoBiotech has recently taken place in Montreux, from 19th to 22th October. This annual event is a unique human-scale conference at the frontiers of Micro- and NanoTechnology and Biological and Medical applications, with a format including plenary talks from invited speakers of international renown and oral presentations describing new research, selected based on their originality and scientific quality.
LMIS1 has participated to NanoBiotech 2025 with two snapshot oral presentations and posters, from our colleagues Tao Zhang and Dr. Biranche Tandon, who presented their cutting-edge research aiming at bridging Micro- and NanoTechnology, Microfluidic and Bioscience.
It is an immense pleasure to share that Tao also won one of the "Best Question Awards", for his curiosity towards the possible reusability of cell scaffolds printed through the relatively expensive two-photon polimerization technology. In a world more and more attentive to balance cost-effectiveness and reusability, the question raised by Tao should act as a reminder that, even though we are often rushing our research for the highest impact, sometimes it is worth to step back and take a moment to reflect on the sustainability that the development of our technologies should entail.
