LMIS1 at Astroval

For our autumn group outing, we went to Astroval close to the French border to observe the sun, go for a walk along the lake, and grab dinner.
At this autumn event, we went to the beautiful Vallée de Joux, close to the French border. At perfect weather, we made our way to Astroval, an astronomy association atop a hill close to the lake. After a short walk to get there, our friendly guide David met us and gave us a tour of the observatory. Afterwards, he brought us to the two telescopes he set up to observe the sun. As the sun is very bright, the larger telescope was not needed but was also demonstrated to us later on.
After this, we went for a walk along to lake before reaching a cozy restaurant for dinner.
