LéXPLORE platform is now on water

LéXPLORE was successfully installed on Lake Leman. LéXPLORE will provide us with physical, geochemical and biological measurements at unpreceding high temporal and vertical resolutions, days and nights for any weather conditions until 2026.

On 18 February 2019, the company Rampini & Cie pushed the platform from Le Bouveret to Pully. In parallel, ASN International GmbH used boats from Sagrave to install the four anchors in the sediment and connect them to LéXPLORE platform. These anchors are situated at 300 m from the platform at depths ranging from 75 à 140 m. These difficult operations took place over two days in all security. After this important step, the real scientific aventure can finally start with the installation of high-tech instrumentation.
