LEMR welcomes Dr. Henri Leclère!
Dr. Henri Leclère focuses his research on fault mechanics from the field to the laboratory scale. He has used experimental and analytical methods to study fluid-fault interaction in the context of natural seismicity.
Dr. Henri Leclère research at the LEMR will be supported by the ERC grant BEFINE (mechanical BEhavior of Fluid-INduced Earthquakes). In the framework of the project, he will focus on changes of physico-chemical properties of rocks during fluid rock interactions in reservoirs and faults. These research are of importance for understanding the mechanics of geo-reservoir with application to deep geothermal energy or CO2 sequestration.
