Lecture by Mario Botta at ECAL on March 21, 2023

On March 21 2023, the renowned Swiss architect and designer Mario Botta will give a lecture at ECAL on the relationship between architecture and design by architects.
Born in 1943 in Mendrisio (CH), Mario Botta was inspired by Le Corbusier, Louis Kahn and Carlo Scarpa. Starting with single-family houses built in the Canton of Ticino, his architectural work then embraced diverse typologies: schools, banks, administrative offices, libraries, museums and religious buildings.
Since 1982, he has also been involved in design, creating the "Prima" and "Seconda" chairs for Alias, and then designing numerous seats, tables, watches and other furniture pieces for important companies in Europe.
