Gabriele Manoli delivered a keynote speech on urban mobility and heat exposure at the Swiss TPH conference in Basel
How can cities cope with rising temperatures? This was one of the many questions discussed at the "Beat the Heat" conference, which brought together experts, researchers and practitioners to address challenges and potential solutions to urban heat.
The focus of the conference was on the latest scientific insights - as showcased by URBES research on mobility and heat exposure - as well as practical applications for city authorities and planners. The conference was co-organized by Swiss TPH and the University of Basel.
