Kai Johnsson elected member of EMBO
On the 9th of May 2012 the "European Molecular Biology Organization" has welcomed prof. Kai Johnsson as new member of the organization.
Prof. Kai Johnsson of the "Laboratory of Protein Engineering (SB)" and the "Interschool Institute of Bioengineering (SV)" has joined this year the "European Molecular Biology Organization" (EMBO) along with other 54 leading life science scientists as new member of the organization.
EMBO members contribute and influence the many initiatives set up by the organization for the development of molecular biology in Europe and neighbouring countries.
EMBO is a non profit organization entrusted by the "European Molecular Biology Conference" (EMBC), a European funded intergovernmental organization, to foster research in Life Sciences through the promotion of courses, conferences, meetings and the provision of research scholarships.
Switzerland is one of the twenty-seven supporting member states.
