Kabale University Launches Digital Excellence Hub

Kabale University has officially opened the doors to its Center of Competence for Digital Excellence (C-CoDE), marking a significant milestone in Uganda's journey towards digital innovation and education.

In an era where digital skills are paramount, Kabale University has taken a giant leap forward with the inauguration of the Center of Competence for Digital Excellence (C-CoDE). The event, graced by distinguished guests including Brian Masiga, CEO of RENUMESH Technologies, Joy C Kwesiga, the Vice Chancellor of Kabale University, Hon. Dr. Nicholas Kamara, and Godfrey Nyakahuma, heralds a new chapter for digital education in Uganda.

C-CoDE is part of a broader initiative involving six universities, aiming to position Uganda as a leader in digital expertise and innovation. The center will serve as a hub for research, development, and training in cutting-edge digital technologies, preparing students for the demands of the global digital economy. The collaboration with international partners such as EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), UM6P (Mohammed VI Polytechnic University), and other esteemed institutions underscores the center's commitment to excellence and global connectivity.

The establishment of C-CoDE at Kabale University not only enhances the institution's reputation but also contributes significantly to the national strategy for digital transformation. By equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age, C-CoDE is poised to drive innovation, create job opportunities, and foster economic growth in Uganda and beyond.
