Joint EPFL and EPFZ School Assembly meeting

A joint meeting was held between the School Assemblies of EPFL and EPFZ on the Lausanne campus.
The EPFL School Assembly members had the pleasure to welcome their colleagues from EPFZ on the 16th of May 2017. The joint meeting led to very interesting discussions on multiple subjects which are common to the different school bodies.
The topics covered included a comparison between best practices on each side and the difference between the two institutions on important subjects such as the teaching load for PhD students, the difficulties encountered regarding administrative processes, the Respect campaign at EPFZ and the involvement of students in the recruitment process of professors. Both School Assemblies reiterated their interest in exchanging on ideas and solutions related to common issues. More details can be found in the minutes of this meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the EPFL School Assembly gave a tour of the ArtLab and of the Montreux Jazz Café to their EPFZ colleagues, who were able to admire the building and the expositions.
