Along with other three speakers, Dusan Licina (HOBEL) hosted a conference symposium titled “Clothing and other textiles as mediators of personal exposure to indoor pollutants”, held at Indoor Air 2018 conference in Philadelphia (USA), in July 2018.

Dusan Licina described experiments intended to better understand the role of clothing in exposure to particulate matter including bioaerosols. This topic is important as there is a growing body of evidence that identifies clothing as an important mediator of human exposure to chemicals and particles, which may have public health significance. This productive discussion revealed that our understanding of exposure as influenced by clothing is in its infancy and there is much room for research exploration and discovery.
