InCites - Benchmarks & Analytics

Clarivate Analytics is offering access to the database InCites Benchmarks & Analytics. This analysis and benchmark tool uses the data from Web of Science (WoS).
The EPFL Library provides you with an online access to InCites, previously owned by Thomson Reuters. The licence agreement between EPFL and Clarivate Analytics is annually renewed since 2006, and negotiated in partnership with the Consortium of Swiss Academic Libraries.
Based on a large number of performance metrics (impact and citations), InCites allows analysis on four levels: institution, person, field of research or funding agency. This tool allows you to:
- identify activities of research by field in a given institution;
- identify experts both inside and outside an institution;
- measure collaborations between institutions or researchers;
- compare performance between peers by research field;
- identify emerging scientific trends by research area;
- identify funding agencies by research area and analyze their funding policies;
- create customized reports (InCites System reports) by institution using specific metrics.
Access to InCites requires a connection through EPFL network (IP address recognition). In addition, you will have to create a personal user account on the platform using your EPFL email address.
