Teaching Circular Architecture On-site.

Nicolas Rogeau and Camille Fauvel participated in the last edition of the Matters of Abstraction conference where they gave a presentation reflecting on the outcomes of the interdisciplinary course "Land of a Thousand Dances" for second year bachelors in Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Environmental Sciences. The course, which will be given for the third times this year, focuses on the reuse of the same building components which are reorganized in a different setting every year. A particularity of the workshop is that the goal is not the creation of a physical object but rather the maintenance of an ever-evolving place through light interventions. As a consequence, the notion of authorship is diluted, challenging current design practices. This conference was also a great opportunity for our researchers to exchange with fellow teachers in architecture and discuss the role of Intermediating Objects (physical models and prototypes) in the learning of the technical dimension of architectural design.

The course "Land of a Thousand Dances" is part of the ENAC week offered at the fourth semester of the Bachelor cycle at the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC).
