HEAD Lab visits Grand Dixence

3rd HEAD Lab. Outing!
Last August 20, the HEAD Lab visited the Grand Dixence Dam, one of Switzerland’s most impressive hydropower infrastructures and the tallest gravity dam in the world. The day began with a guided tour inside the dam, offering a closer look at its engineering and role in hydropower production. We then enjoyed lunch at The Ritz before heading to the top of the dam and hiking through the surrounding Alpine landscape. Along the way, we were treated to beautiful views of the glaciers whose meltwater contributes to the reservoir.
The trip was also a great opportunity to celebrate the successful completion of Louis and Yanis’ internships with the lab. Congratulations to both, and thank you for your contributions to HEAD Lab!
