The Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation forum dedicated an article to a recent paper of Prof. Collin-Dufresne and his co-authors titled "Activism, Strategic Trading, and Liquidity," which was published on January 5.

This post is based on a recent paper authored by Kerry Back, J. Howard Creekmore Professor of Finance at Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business; Pierre Collin-Dufresne, Professor of Finance at the Swiss Finance Institute at EPFL; Vyacheslav Fos, Assistant Professor of Finance at Boston College Carroll School of Management ; Tao Li, Associate Professor of Finance at City University of Hong Kong; and Alexander Ljungqvist, Ira Rennert Professor of Finance at NYU Stern School of Business. On this paper, "Activism, Strategic Trading, and Liquidity," they revisit the classic question of the relation between liquidity and economic efficiency by generalizing the activism technology.
