Han-Yun Jhang successfully completed her PhD Thesis at HOBEL
Han-Yun Jhang recently completed her PhD thesis entitled "Role of Clothing in Influencing Inhalation Exposure to Airborn Particles".
Han-Yun’s thesis, titled "Role of Clothing in Influencing Inhalation Exposure to Airborn Particles", focused on how clothing contributes to indoor air quality through particle resuspension—when particles detach from clothing and become airborne, potentially leading to inhalation exposure. Using a breathing and moving thermal manikin in controlled environments, she examined factors influencing particle deposition and resuspension rates, including clothing intrinsic, environmental, and human factors. The findings offer valuable data to enhance inhalation exposure models and inform interventions to reduce particle exposure from clothing.
The HOBEL lab congratulates Dr. Jhang on this outstanding achievement and wishes her continued success in all her future endeavors.
