Beginning of January we welcomed 4 PhD students into our lab for a short 3-day practical.
Along with Kati, they worked on isolating phages from environmental sources of their choice and explored the effects of exposing an environmental bacterium to various antibiotics. For additional fun, they made a petri-dish painting using bacteria expressing fluorescent proteins (as shown in picture)!
