Geomechanics for Energy and the Environment's journal growth

The 2018 Citescores have just been released and the journal, “Geomechanics for Energy and the Environment” has achieved a high Citescore of 2.52.
Geomechanics for Energy and the Environment has steadily risen in stature since its beginnings in 2015. With a 2018 Citescore of 2.52 this is the third year in a row where its Citescore has increased. Now the journal finds itself in the top 20% of journals in its category.
The aim of the journal is to publish research results of the highest quality and of lasting importance on the subject of geomechanics, with the focus on applications to geological energy production and storage, and the interaction of soils and rocks with the natural and engineered environment.
The journal’s founders and editors-in-chief are Prof. Lyesse Laloui (EPFL) and Prof. Tomasz Hueckel (Duke University).
