From road to rail: getting the stakeholders to work together

Prof. Matthias Finger and the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy, and Communications (DETEC) create together a National Infrastructure Day to take place in November of every year.
In order to institutionalize a dialogue between the DETEC and its stakeholders, Professor Finger and the Infrastructure Ministry are jointly setting up an annual National Infrastructure Day.
The first such day will cover the question of the transer from road to rail in both passenger and cargo transport, and will take place on November 23rd 2012 at ETH Zürich. The second National Infrastructure Day will cover energy matters and will take place in November 2013 at EPFL. Currently a third edition is planned on issues concerning the information society and will be held in November 2014 at the University of St. Gallen.
