Free public transportation in Geneva for people under 25 has increased its usage, but has done little to reduce car use and has also led to a decline in bicycle use. Vincent Kaufmann, a professor at the Laboratory of Urban Sociology and co-author of the study, highlights the uncertainty regarding whether these new habits will persist after the age of 25. The professor also offers his analysis of the rise in diesel and gasoline prices in relation to electric mobility.
