FRAME kickoff workshop at EPFL
The kickoff workshop of the FRAME (A FAIR Protocol for Hybrid Models and Data in Hydrology) project was held in Lausanne on September 25-26!
FRAME aims to collaboratively design, implement, and test a standardised FAIR protocol tailored for hydrological hybrid models. In this first design workshop, we drafted a scalable template for hybrid models including coding and data standards, metadata specifications, and documentation which will be required to ensure that hydrological models adhere to FAIR principles.
The workshop was hosted by the Laboratory of Catchment Hydrology and Geomorphology (CHANGE) at EPFL, with the participation of Oscar Baez-Villanueva and Olivier Bonte (Hydro-Climate Extremes Lab, Ghent University), Reda El Ghawi (Atmosphere-Biosphere Coupling, Climate and Causality Group, Max Planck Institute of Biogeochemistry), Fabrizio Fenicia (Hydrological Modeling Group, EAWAG), and Son Pham-Ba (ENAC-IT4R, EPFL).
Many thanks to everyone for the fruitful discussions and kudos to Akash Koppa for leading the organization of the workshop!
