The "Fondation Latsis Internationale", a charitable organisation, was established in 1975 by the Greek family Latsis in Geneva. The Foundation currently awards four University Prizes, worth CHF 25,000 each, as well as a National and a European Latsis Prize of CHF 100,000 each.

The "Fondation Latsis Internationale" Prize is awarded by the EPFL Research Commission on behalf of the Latsis Foundation. The purpose of the "Fondation Latsis Internationale" award is to distinguish scientific work of particular excellence from all EPFL research areas. The Prize is primarily meant to recognise postgraduate scientific contributions made independently by junior scientists at EPFL. On rare occasions it may also honour outstanding doctoral theses of high scientific impact.

Deadline: no later than March 1st 2015

Candidates can be nominated by EPFL professors or they can apply directly to the EPFL Research Office. Please note that a candidate can only be proposed for a single award for the same deadline. The age limit for candidates is 40 years.
