Former EPFL PhD student wins ACS award

Edoardo Baldini, a former PhD student with Professors Majed Chergui and Fabrizio Carbone, has won the 2020 PHYS Division Young Investigator Awards from the American Chemical Society (ACS).

Each year, the Physical Chemistry Division of the ACS awards Young Investigator Awards to young researchers performing outstanding postdoctoral research in Physical Chemistry.

One of the four 2020 Award has gone to Edoardo Baldini, who carried out his PhD at the EPFL under the supervision of Professors Majed Chergui and Fabrizio Carbone. Baldini was awarded for his postdoctoral work at MIT on the discovery and ultrafast manipulation of unconventional excitonic states in quantum materials.
