Flux tower installed at UNIL/EPFL
A mobile flux tower has been installed on the rooftop of the Géopolis building (UNIL) as a proof-of-concept to monitor carbon, water, and energy fluxes in urban environments.
Thanks to a CLIMACT starting grant 2022, the URBES laboratory together with Prof. Nadav Peleg (project PI, UNIL) and Prof. Christoforos Pappas (University of Patras) have installed the first urban flux tower in the the Lausanne area. The unit is mobile and will be used to monitor hydroclimatic and CO2 fluxes from different urban settings/green spaces.
