Kristina and Bence started their field work in Binntal and Vallon de Réchy. They are supported by Antoine and Eric.

SOIL is busy with field work this summer: Kristina and Bence started collecting soil samples for their project. We are grateful for the support of Antoine Wallart and Eric Pizem! Eric is joining our group for the field work. Antoine will stay on after field work for his Summer in the Lab internship and we are excited to host him!

The field team is collecting soil samples from alpine soils in two watersheds in Valais. We are particularly interested in differences between soils on eroding hillslopes and floodplain soils in which materials are accumulating. This work is part of our project on mechanisms of soil organic carbon stabilization in mountain soils led by Kristina and Bence.
