Fewer cars in the city

Free public transportation in Geneva for students and the discounts offered to retirees and people receiving disability benefits have helped reduce car use in the city. This is confirmed by two studies conducted by the team led by Vincent Kaufmann, a professor at EPFL’s Laboratory of Urban Sociology and an expert in mobility, as reported by Léman Bleu and Le Courrier.
