The Équerre d'argent prize 2024 was awarded to Devaux & Devaux Architectes (Claudia Devaux and David Devaux), for their project to renovate the upper station of the Salève cable car in Monnetier-Mornex (Haute-Savoie, France).

Twenty projects nominated for the Équerre d'argent 2024 were submitted to the jury chaired by Iwona Buczkowska, who, after considering all the architects, named the winner on November 18, 2024: the renovation of the upper station of the Salève cable car in Monnetier-Mornex (Haute-Savoie), carried out by Devaux & Devaux Architectes (founded by Claudia Devaux, professor of practice at ENAC, and David Devaux) for the Groupement local de coopération transfrontalière téléphérique du Salève.

The Équerre d'argent is a prestigious prize awarded each year in France for a building completed on French soil within the year. This year, the Jury chose to highlight a renovation project, and to award the prize to a civil engineering project, which is a rare occurrence in the history of this prize. It emphasized the “ethical” nature of the rehabilitation project, “in the service of the original work”, the project's qualities of use, and the sensitivity of the intervention in the protected site (Natura 2000).
