Over thirty EPFL employees have agreed to exhibit their works at CREApoly. You will be able to discover them from 28 February and until 5 March at EPFL (preview of the exhibition on Wednesday 27 February at 17:30).

EPFL abounds with artists concealed behind their professional roles. In order to discover all these talented individuals, the EPFL Cultural and Arts Affairs unit has organized CREApoly. Anyone, whether associated with EPFL or not, is invited to discover the work of 35 members of staff who have agreed to display their works.

The purpose of CREApoly is to provide EPFL staff with a venue that enables the presentation of works that are very often only seen by relatives or acquaintances. It is hoped that this event will result in staff members who cross paths during a meeting, at the cafeteria, or in a lab, looking at their colleagues is a slightly different way, having seen one of their works exhibited. And, who knows, if CREApoly, through art, could also encourage the art of working better together? "We are hoping that, stimulated by this first edition, the number of those taking part will increase in the years to come", says Virginie Martin Nunez, from EPFL Cultural and Art Affairs.

Paintings, drawings, photos, sculptures, embroidery, pottery, stained glass windows, engravings, digital paintings and even singing and piano are on the CREApoly program. The selection will offer a wide range of colors. Two members of staff who are musicians will liven up the launch evening, as well as the Saturday afternoon, with mini concerts.

The layout of the exhibition has been designed and produced by two students: Agathe Mignon, a student at ENAC-EPFL, and Mélissa Meylan, a student at ECAL (University of Art and Design Lausanne). They also designed the poster for this event.
