A short primer on the year-end openings (and closures) for 2023-2024. If in doubt, we recommend that you also check the information provided on each service’s webpage.

The opening hours at the various EPFL campuses may differ. Please check the specific webpage for each campus.

standard opening hours are maintained. Open every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on official EPFL public holidays: December 25 and 26, 2023 and January 1 and 2, 2024.
Accounting and controlling departments
the offices of the Vice Presidency Services for Finance are closed from Monday, December 25, 2023 to Tuesday, January 2, 2024 inclusive. We look forward to seeing you again on Wednesday, January 3. a concierge service will be available from Wednesday December 27 to Friday December 29, 2023, from 7:00 to 11:45 am and from 1:15 to 4:20 pm.
Chemicals products
please note that the last deadline for chemical authorization applications (purchase or renewal) is Wednesday, December 13, 2023 for processing in 2023. All applications made after this date will be processed from Monday, January 8, 2024.

Food services
the end-of-year opening hours for campus food outlets are available online.
Health Point
the nursing team will be closed from Friday, December 22, 2023 at 4:30pm. From Wednesday January 3, 2024, normal opening hours will resume (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 16:30).
Human Resources
as a reminder, the HR helpdesk no longer exists. For any information, you can visit the HR webpage, rh.epfl.ch, at any time. If you have a specific question or request, please send an email to rh@epfl.ch. The HR offices will be closed from Monday December 25, 2023 up until and including Tuesday January 2, 2024.
La Boutique (Rolex Learning Center)
closed from Friday, December 22, 2023 at 4:00 pm to Monday, January 8, 2024 at 10:00 am.
Library
closed on Sunday, December 25. The EPFL Library welcomes you with modified opening hours and reduced services from December 24, 2023 to January 5, 2024.

Maison de la mobilité
located on Avenue Piccard, it brings together the consulting and sales activities of Lausanne-area public transport (tl) and Kuoni Business Travel, EPFL's new central travel agency.

Mediacom Events
closed from Friday, December 22, 2023 at 5 pm to Monday, January 8, 2024 at 8 am. Forms for event organization requests will no longer be accessible during the closure period.

parking fees will apply on all business days from Friday, December 22, 2023 to Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Point Vélo will be closed from Friday December 22 at 5pm until Monday January 8 at 12am. The self-repair station and self-service pumps remain accessible.
Poseidon in MA
the private Poseidon laptop helpdesk in MA is closed from December 25, 2023 to January 2, 2024. Normal opening hours (10am-5pm) on January 3, 2024.

Poseidon at the RLC
from December 26, 2023, opening hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed on 25.12 and 01.01.2024.
Postal service (delivery and collection)
at postal stations, the last delivery and collection of the year will take place on Friday December 22 at 3pm. There will be no mail delivery or collection from Monday December 25 to Friday December 29, 2023. Normal mail delivery and collection times will resume on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Press office
the press office will remain open during this period, and can be reached by e-mail at presse@epfl.ch.
Psychotherapeutic consultation for students and doctoral students
the Psychotherapeutic Consultation is available for individual support from Monday to Friday. Closed on public holidays. Interviews will take place at the CHUV de Chauderon consultation from 27 to 29.12.; return to the EPFL site for interviews from 03.01.2024. Repro - Print Center
Repro will be closed from Friday, December 22, 2023 at 3 p.m., reopening on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.
Research Office
the Research Office will be closed from the evening of December 22 to the morning of January 3.
Rolex Learning Center (building)
SAVE - audiovisual service
closes Friday, December 22, 2023 at 5:30pm and reopens Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 8am.

Service Sport Santé UNIL-EPFL
the sports center will be closed from Saturday, December 23, 2023 to Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Reopening Wednesday January 3 at 7am. The Villa des Sports secretariat will be closed from Friday December 22 to Monday January 8. The intersemester program, including live classes, will be offered from January 15 to February 18, 2024.
Social consultation for students and PhD students
the Social Consultation is available for individual support from Monday to Friday. Closed on public holidays. To make an appointment, please send an email to consultation.sociale@epfl.ch.

The opening hours for the Student Services desk during the holiday period are as follows:

the SwissTech Convention Center will be closed from Saturday, December 23, 2023 to Sunday, January 7, 2024.

UNIL end-of-year opening hours and BCUL opening hours (Lausanne's cantonal and university library).
Workspaces for exam revision
workspaces have been reserved for students from Monday, December 25, 2023 to Saturday, February 3, 2024.

Energy-saving measures
Heating will be in “normal” mode throughout the holiday period. Please be aware that even the smallest actions can help us save energy.
So, if you'll be away, please switch off as much equipment (including computers) as possible and turn down the heating in unused premises wherever practicable.
The caretakers will also do their best to ensure that these instructions are implemented.
