A public Geneva exhibition celebrating Swiss contributions to the Institut Pasteur and international scientific collaboration showcases a collaboration between Dr. Gaspard Pardon, head of EPFL’s Bioengineering and Organoids Technology platform, and Dr. Samy Gobaa, at the Institut Pasteur in Paris.
Dr. Gaspard Pardon, head of the Bioengineering and Organoids Technology platform (PTBET) at EPFL is featured in the retrospective exhibition “De Louis Pasteur à nos jours,” organized by the Fondation Pasteur Suisse to mark its 15th anniversary. Held at the Parc des Bastions in Geneva, the open-air exhibition highlights 15 Swiss-linked researchers contributing to the legacy of the Institut Pasteur.
This exhibition showcases the collaborative work conducted by Dr. Pardon at EPFL and Dr. Samy Gobaa at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, supported by the Fondation Pasteur Suisse and developed within the framework of the EPFL-Pasteur partnership. The work reflects the growing importance of bioengineering approaches, including organoid technologies, in advancing biomedical research and improving our understanding of human biology in infectious diseases, cancer and regeneration. The inclusion of this collaboration in this exhibition highlights the impact of collaborative infrastructures in fostering innovation and enabling high-level international partnerships.
The exhibition emphasizes the vital role of global scientific networks, as well as the importance of sustained support for young researchers and cross-border collaborations. By bringing scientific achievements into a public space, it offers a unique opportunity to engage a wider audience with the people and ideas shaping the future of biomedical research.
The exhibition runs for one month at the Parc des Bastions, inviting visitors to discover the contributions of researchers who continue to advance the frontiers of science.
