Articles from EPFL and the School’s main web pages are now available in three languages, with the goal of sharing advances in research with a larger audience, both in Switzerland and abroad.

Following on from English and French, the most visited sites on the EPFL website have been translated into German over the last few months. This change reflects the School’s desire to improve its communication with people in Switzerland – specifically the German-speaking regions – with the twin goals of sharing the scientific discoveries that our researchers have made, and providing study programs for prospective students across the globe.

You can now access the news section in German (Click the drop-down menu in the top-right to change language) with a selection of articles covering all areas of the School, from research and innovation through education, and, of course, campus events.

The main pages about the EPFL as an institution, such as the annual report, the page covering the offices of the President and the vice-presidents, and the main pages outlining EPFL’s missions are also available in three languages.

Lastly, pages containing practical information, such as the pages about the campuses and all the details about how to get here and how to contact the School are also available in German alongside French and English.

Eventually, we would like to translate more and more pages into these three languages in order to give visitors from all over the world the best possible overview of the EPFL and everything it does. All members of the EPFL community can now create new web pages in German.
